Great Stay & lovely Surroundings
We stayed here for 4 nights including NYE - Great facilities, Very Clean & the on-site shop has loads of local foods and drinks. We will definitely be returning!

Another Great Visit
Just had our second visit to the Grange and it didn’t disappoint again. Although the owners were away for the duration of our visit, Julie ensured the site’s cleanliness was immaculate. Nothing was too much for her, what a gem she is. We have already booked to return.

Party before the party
Stayed here same time last year , had a fabulous timeCampsite is the best we’ve been on , showers clean , nice piped music, staff very friendly, can see improvements being made, garden centre still great , as is the restaurant, only criticism is there is still no lighting from Road down to campsite if you’re walking, the party before the party was disappointing this year because, snacks were very poor , only a few canapé not enough to cover the amount of people that were there .

Another lovely stay
Just back from a lovely 10 days at The Grange Caravan Park over Christmas.It was a very relaxing break.The site facilities are immaculately clean and well looked after.The shop is well stocked with all the essentials needed. The Garden Centre restaurant serves beautiful food.The Team at The Grange Caravan Park work very hard to ensure that the customer experience is a fantastic one and we wanted for nothing even on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.They went above and beyond.We will definitely be back.

Beautiful
This is a very nice and quiet place to stay, we stayed here at Christmas and we received a gift and card on Christmas Day which was a nice surprise. Toilets and showers are spotless, I would recommend the grange to everyone.

Quiet location
This really is a lovely quiet site.The showers and toilets were immaculate with large shower cubicles. The shop is well stocked. The lady staff member gave a warm welcome. The pitches are large and flat. Nothing to fault at this site.

Christmas stay
Once again another enjoyable stay at a lovely site which is always clean and tidy with very friendly and welcoming hosts, will be returning to this site in 2025.

Lovely site
We arrived later than planned and the site kindly messaged us instructions on gaining access, pitch size etc. We stayed for 2 nights and it was fairly quiet on the site. The showers and toilets are immaculate. It's got a lovely shop. Add also a pie shop where they make. The gorgeous pies attach to the campsite. There's a garden centre which does the most amazing food. We had breakfast there both mornings.And it was delicious the staff in the campsite are really friendly and there's a nice shop selling some really nice little bits to take home.We walked into Melton Mowbray, one of the days and got the bus back.It was really simple , very nice site will be back in the summer!

Fantastic Weekend
What a great site this is, a lovely welcome on arrival, the pitches were all in great condition. Easy access to Melron Mowbray by walking or the local bus service.All the facilities were spotless. See you again soon.

Top class site, so clean and well maintained. Friendly staff and Bramble the site official warden.

Shining like a brass button
Fantastic site all new clean facilities good price for overnight stay £27.Plenty of room on the pitches and secluded my hedges. We were in pitch number 1. Pay for electric my advance payment onto a card then any electric not used is refundable.Nice big reception shop with supplies even selling gas bottles. We wanted to use the cafe in the garden centre which had a great menu but unfortunately had to be away at 9am. Only negative was the noise from the building site at the rear of the campsite I’d prefer to wake up to the birds singing not jcb diggers riding around.will definitely love to come back

A super site which is open all year
A hidden gem, behind the garden centre. A lovely friendly greeting from Katie, Nothing is to much trouble for the owners. Facilities are first class, never known such lovely showers. Free wifi on site which was so reliable.All in all 10 out of 10We will be back

Amazing
Fab two nights at the grange. The weather didn’t put us off. Really enjoyed the ski lodge and facilities around the site. The site itself was spotless and very well maintained. The shop and staff were very accommodating and helpful all you need in the shop and more. 100% be back again x

5 Star Site
We have just returned home from what must be one of the wettest, windyist weekends we have ever spent in a caravan in our 40 years of touring. Despite the weather the welcome at the Grange was warm and friendly and the well laid out site with all hard standing serviced pitches was never in danger of being overwhelmed despite 24/7 rain for 3 days!A very nice place to stay and enjoy what the area has to offer, 5/5 from us.

Immaculate
This was our first visit to The Grange, but it wont be our last.Fantastic site, with immaculate facilities, nice size pitches.We enjoyed a meal next door at The Grange garden center ski lodge and made pork pies at Brocklebys.The site has a very nice shop and we liked the meter electricity, which was very easy to use.

Delightful site with lovely facilities and staff - a big hit with us
We stopped at The Grange for one night in our way to York. We were made to feel so very welcome. The facilities are excellent and there is a really well stocked little shop at Reception selling local produce. . It is not a big site but immaculate and it sits at the back of a fabulous garden centre. The site welcomes dogs and there is a great walk down a tarmac track out to open fields. The garden centre has a wonderful restaurant where dogs are welcome and we had a great breakfast before we left this morning. It also has a gift shop and amazing Christmas shop. We will definitely be visiting. again.

Weekend away
The site is peaceful and clean. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I have been here a number of times before and I always leave happy having enjoyed my stay immensely.

Only her for a overnight stop but found it very nice the grounds were kept lovley all the facilities were fantastic clean, warm and modern nice garden centre with a eating area had a breakfast on the morning we left and it was excellent. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

Excellent stay
Our first visit to the Grange recommended to us by my sister.The staff were all very friendly and made us very welcome.The fully serviced pitch was very good, quiet with only a couple of other pitches occupied during the stay.Whilst we didn't eat in the restaurant, the menu looked good and gluten free options were available. We did have late afternoon drinks and again, the staff were friendly.The only one negative point was the diabolical track from the main road to the garden centre car park before reaching the caravan site. The amount of potholes is not nice when towing a caravan. One staff member was starting to fill the potholes as we were leaving todayDefinitely consider returning again during 2025.Many thanks to Julie.

Fantastic site
This was our second visit to The Grange. It is a fantastic site with very clean facilities. The pitches are big and mostly level. The staff are so helpful. The metered electric is fair so you pay for what you use. Loved the radio on in the shower blocks. The garden centre and alpine restaurant make for very easy visits and the cookery class next door was really good. It really does have it all here- a very relaxing break, thank you

We stayed here for the first time and found it to be a lovely site.The pitches are very well laid, the shower block was obviously fairly new and immaculately kept, and all the staff were very friendly.I’m sure we will be back in 2025

one of the best sites i,ve stayed on .shower block is the best i,ve seen very clean, and heated. Pitches are excellent and lots of room .

Excellent site
What a great find. It's obvious that Katie & John are campers & have used the benefit of their good & bad experiences to create a fabulous site. Lovely & quiet & yet an easy walk into Melton & on a bus route if needed. The staff were also extremely friendly & helpful. They have lovely clean & warm toilet & showers (which was particularly nice as it was very cold outside with snow when we were there!) and the best on-site shop we've experienced. The garden centre & cafe next door is another bonus. We definitely plan to visit again when the weather is warmer.

Fabulous site
We had a wonderful stay and didn't want to come home! Facilities are fantastic, the toilet and shower facilities were spotless at all times and warm and toasty. The pitch was large and private and the metered electric was extremely good value. The onsite shop was well stocked andI highly recommend the moo & blue pie.Best of all was the fabulous welcome we received from all the staff especially the site warden Bramble and her able assistant Milo. Well located site with a nice walk into Melton and a free bus back. To be honest with the facilities available you wouldn't really need to travel off site at all. We loved I, absolutely spot on and can't wait to return!

Friendly welcome, Super facilities, lovely grounds and pitches. Shower and toilets are top notch are spotlessly clean. A tiny negative the washing up facility is outside though undercover.

A Gem
What a find this site is. We had a few problems with both our motorhome and the other half falling poorly,causing us to leave early.We sorted a caravan man to visit us on site,recommended by site also.Was so helpful and ordered us the parts needed.Julie couldn'thave been more helpful,directed us to the Melton Mowbray hospital,got seen very promptly.Hopefully returning next weekend for repairs to motorhome.Would highly recommend.

Love staying at this site as we attend the food and chocolate festival in Melton MobrayNice big pitches, fully serviced (metered) , very neat & cleanwith good facilitiesLove that it is right next to the garden centre and a bus stop across the roadRestaurant gets very busy so booking essential especially for Sunday dinerWe had lunch on a Saturday this time, it was very busy & noisy though so youcouldn’t really hear yourself think, which spoilt it for us reallyThey’ve now replaced the quiet cafe on the site with a shop, pity they couldn’t keep both somehow?So for us personally it’s a shameStill given 5 stars as we can eat & drink in the motorhome

Lovely site big level pitches we stayed on a fully serviced pitch all pitches were hard standing. Toilets/showers were very clean lots of information well stocked reception and great restaurant next door accessible directly from the site.

This site was a great find. It’s all very new and well laid out with clean and modern toilet/shower block. We received a very friendly welcome with all information needed sent a few days before as well!The adjoining garden centre and restaurant are lovely, we enjoyed coffee and cake( lots of choice) and a fantastic breakfast also!Would definitely recommend and will be revisiting.

This was the second time we have visited this year. It’s great to have somewhere peaceful to visit within a hour from home. This time we went to the restaurant on Friday night and enjoyed the singer as we ate our meal. A lovely touch was a birthday gift waiting for me on our arrival. Thank you

Absolutely brilliant site..can’t wait to return…Lovely wardens,first time we’ve ever been told‘No need to rush off next day as plot not booked’.Or leave on the car park…even club sites where you pay fee for supposed privileges we never been allowed to stop over departure times .Ben if site obviously not full…

A wonderfully special little site
Well, this was out first stay here, and we’ll definitely be back.Great little site (20 pitches - expanding to 26 in 2025), with immaculate facilities, a great little shop and a restaurant/bar on site (part of the garden centre, and accessed through a little gate from the caravan site).Pitches are gravel with a bit of grass, all fully serviced. Electric is metered - we spent around £4 per day - but it’s November and we needed the heating on. You’ll probably only spend £2 during warmer months.The surrounding area has lots of great walks, and Melton Mowbray is a few minutes drive.Hosts are really friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area.Safe to say that we will return 👍👍

Absolutely brilliant
Hi we stopped from Monday to Friday, our hosts were amazing nothing too much trouble and always had a smile. We used the bus to get to Melton and Leicester very easy and stress free. The Mountain restaurant was very enjoyable too, excellent food. Would have enjoyed perhaps one night open later as there wasn't a pub in walking distance but certainly not the end of the world, very enjoyable and will def be back

Beautiful family run site
Just got home from a wonderful 4 nights stay at The Grange, celebrating my birthday with friends in our caravans. What a gem this site is- staff are so lovely, the site warden dog Bramble is adorable too! Immaculate facilities, electric on meters which was very reasonable and easy to use, fully serviced pitches, dog friendly site, garden center next door, restaurant next door where we had an amazing Sunday roast! I love how the grounds are so well looked after with beautiful landscaping, gorgeous shrubs, trees and a card for wildlife is evident - bird boxes, bird feeders and clearly a high level of care for the local wildlife. The on site shop is very well stocked too!Katie, John & Bramble - thank you for an amazing first stay in your beautiful site; I’ll definitely be returning ☺️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Needed an overnight stop near Melton Mowbray as MH had to go in for some warranty repairs.Found the Grange on line and what a great find.Pitched hard standing with services - extra for EHU but not a problem.The pitches were level and the facilities immaculate.

Well thought out .Facilities excellent .On site3 caravans 10 motorhomes today however the lack of a drive over grey water dump a limiting factor to length of stay.Wardens of site brilliant——welcoming knowledgeable and one of this excellent sitesfive star features.

Well organised and tidy.
Spent two night at this very nice campsite nice welcome and briefed on arrival. The pitches are level and ours was fully kitted out the electric is a swipe card as briefed and swipe when leaving for refund if any. Washrooms and showers were always immaculate and great hot water etc. Will return in summer but with a plan of action Melton Mowbray not what I expected. Nice cafe/restaurant on site shuts at 5 but worth a visit. Brambles the Border Terrier is also worth getting to know around reception. Nice friendly couple run and own it I think.

Autumn break away
Having stayed here for my first time I will most definitely be returning… immaculately kept site, extremely modern and spotless ablution block, very welcoming and friendly staff and fellow campers..Only issue and it’s nothing to do with the site itself but there’s a housing development going up on adjacent land with lots of machinery noises, but it all finishes at 4pm sharp and peace returns…. Have already recommended to fellow campers….

Perfection
What a wonderful find! Absolutely fantastic stay, lovely pitches and superb showers! Big bonus was the fantastic restaurant and nurseries. Loved having a browse around the nurseries. Restaurant was fantastic, food 10/10. Also there is a Brockleby pies shop. Pick up pie while you’re there , can’t beat it. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful, will definitely be going back.

Really great site. Good layout. The owners were friendly and helpful. Brilliant shower block with radio streamed to them. Had a good old sing song whilst in there.Lovely restaurant on site. The food was amazing.Great little garden centre and gift shop on site too.Highly recommend and if you like pork pies book on to the pie making experience at Brocklebys pies located in the grounds

Hidden gem
Fantastic hidden gem of a caravan site, very warm and hospitable welcome at reception. Well stocked little shop in reception with lots of local products. Toilet and shower block at the side of the same building, very clean, tidy, great layout and decor. Well worth it with the added bonus of the access to a garden centre on same site with a restaurant. Would highly recommend

Very relaxing caravan site
Our first visit to Grange caravan site and we were not disappointed. Very relaxing site with very comfortable surroundings. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. Receptionist, very friendly and helpful and able to give us some local things to do. We will definitely use Grange Caravan site again

Grange camp site had everything
We spent 2 nights at the Grange camp site and had a great time, the bar and restaurant on site was warm and friendly and the food was delicious. 2-1 cocktails 5.30 pm to 6.30pm went down a treat as well. Facilities were clean and the staff were very helpful. Bus stop straight outside tbe entrance takes you into Leicester or Melton and we can’t recommend the Round Corner Brewery enough.

Lovely Site and Lovely People
This was the second time we have stayed at the Grange at Asfordby Hill. The site is roomy, clean, and facilities first class. The staff are knowledgeable and are not shy of sharing their experiences and knowledge. We went to the attached Mountain Restaurant for an evening meal and took advantage of the two for one cocktails. The meal was good and reasonably priced and with our 10% discount, it became a bargain. We will definitely be staying again.

We loved this campsite!Great, friendly, helpful staff (including site warden Bramble.Wonderful location, on the edge of town but within walking distance, or a bus if preferred.Lots of good walks. We made use of the Mountain Restaurant, Garden Centre)!) and Brockleby’s which are just yards away, and thoroughly recommended.The site itself was extremely well maintained, clean, and our pitch was spacious.A fantastic site!

We stayed for one night only but the site was great, very neat and tidy and pretty, lovely large plots and ours had a picnic table. The staff were really friendly and helpful and ran a great little shop selling all sorts.We can also highly recommend the restaurant in the garden centre too - fabulous food, and our reason for staying was a pork pie making experience at Brockleby's Pies, also on site.A wonderful little set up all round.

We have been quite a few times and every time has been brilliant, we always feel very welcome and it is more like visiting friends. Everything is spot on tidy and clean and can't do enough to make your stay as comfortable as possible always a pleasure to visit.

This site was recommended to us by friends. We weren’t disappointed although the weather was not the best. The facilities are first class, modern and spotlessly clean. The shop is well stocked and the on site licensed restaurant is really good with a varied menu. Excellent for motorhomers or caravanners as everything you need is in one place. Bust stops just outside the site to explore the local area. We will return.

A lovely campsite , well maintained, superb shower facilities. Owners very friendly.Our second visit to this site which has the added bonus of being alongside a small garden centre which has a cafe on site serving fresh homemade meals and cakes. A camping gem
Lovely clean and well maintained site. Beautifully landscaped with spacious pitches. Great wash and shower facilities. A shop offering all the bits and pieces you need and didn’t think you needed. Very friendly staff. The bonus was the ski lodge restaurant at the garden centre located right next door. Food was excellent and lovely ambience. Weather was awful so will come back again next summer to enjoy it even more.

Bathrooms and showers were spotlessly clean. Fully serviced pitch was great, with the electric meter swipe card easy to. Friendly welcome from the staff even though we were a bit late due to the heavy rain. Would definitely use again.

On entering female facilities, I nearly knocked a woman over, problem was she was trying to curl her hair using the only plug that was at side of the door. This plug is obviously for cleaning purposes for the staff, and she was too tight to use the electric on her pitch, the shower she’d come out of, was a disgrace, mud and grass, so i cleaned it before entering. I know this was her as the other shower was in use, and the other needed a repair. This was not the fault of the site but ignorant guests. It might be an idea to have cover for plug to stop people doing this and putting sign up, clean after use, but you shouldn’t have to tell people to clean up after themselves.

Excellent stay
The site is extremely well kept and organised, staff very friendly and helpful, although for part of our stay we had a lot of rain fall, the site drainage worked extremely well preventing any puddling or rivers through the pitch.We would certainly recommend this site.

Stayed in our motorhome for3 nights in very mixed weather.Bus stop for Melton Mowbray or Leicester etc. about 5 minutes walk from site.Mountain restaurant does very good food - we can recommend the Sunday roast. Facilities block is excellent.All in all highly recommended

Best site we’ve ever been to
Having read many fantastic reviews for here we have been looking forward to staying here , even though it was just a couple of nights. The whole site is immaculate with wildlife areas, a beautiful pond and extremely friendly owners, all managed by Bramble the site warden. Our pitch was big and there are bigger ones you can book. First time we have used smart meters for electric and travelling in a camper van we used 80p per day (how much are we being overcharged on other sites?), we liked it a lot! The whole site is very eco friendly and is a little haven. Fab garden centre and restaurant on site. We have just got home and will definitely be booking again.

One night stopover on our way south
This is an excellent modern new site with great facilities and value for money the riches are nicely spaced out, the shower block is in the top 2 from all our stays nice big self contained showers with room to change and keep your stuff dry plus kept very clean. you can walk into Melton Mowbray by road or over the fields takes around 45 mins

Fabulous
This is probably the best site we have ever stayed on. The toilet and shower facilities are first class, high quality and clean. The shop is open all day every day and is a real bonus…good local beers too !The on site restaurant and cafe is a real bonus. Most of all the Grange Team are incredibly helpful and friendly.

The Grange Caravan Pk
We stayed at the Grange Caravan Pk in Melton Mowbray for 2 nights to break out journey up from travelling South to North Yorkshire. We were grated by the owners who were very helpful & friendly, the caravan park is beautifully laid out plant of space all fully service pitches, its kept right up together and very tidy,the facilities are the best we've ever been in absolutely lovely there done in a lovely wooden style, music playing, plenty of room in the showers with dressing area, very warm inside. The whole site is wonderfully organised we will definitely go there again,l also recommend anyone who goes there will certainly not be disappointed. You have to pay separate for your electric but this is good as you only pay for what you use and what you don't use is refunded, they are able to keep they're priced lower because they don't have to estimate how much electric people are using (brilliant idea).There is a good restaurant on site,fab walking area's for dogs, and even a lovely garden center attached you can walk through.The bus stops are very close. All in all this is definitely the best caravan park we've stayed at if we could give it more than 5 stars we would.Well done to the owners with all there hardwork,

This is an excellent site with fabulous facilities. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We are always sad to leave.

Beautiful site
First time we have stayed here and wow what a beautiful and peaceful site, would definitely recommend.The grange restaurant is open later on Fridays for a nice evening meal and a few drinks.The onsite shop has some really lovely items to purchaseYou can take a nice walk through the fields to Melton Mowbray approx 50 mins or all the relevant bus information is available on the wall.

Good direction to site, roads ok, although little uneven track down to site , was busy on the Saturday we arrived mainly due to traffic using garden centre. We booked a standard pitch (22), which was a bit small when we put the porch awning up, unfortunately when we booked therewere no super pitches available. All pitches are serviced, and EHU is metered, our first time. We used £2 - £4 a day, (it did get very cold at end of week so we had the heating on, hence the £4), and also got a refund at the end of the week. I didn’t use toilets/showers, husband did and said they were very clean and decent shower. Bus stop a 5min walk away. Timetable for buses, and places to go , all available outside the office and shop. We were told there was building work outside the site, Monday to Friday, it didn’t impact on us, but they did start at7am!

Nice Weekend Stay
Stayed at Grange Park for 2 nights. Lovely quiet site with beautiful facilities. Toilets and showers spotlessly clean and great little shop with local ales and necessities. Lovely meal in the restaurant Friday night with a young lad singing. Also lovely little garden centre. Staff all friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Grange. The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful and the site itself was very clean and well kept. Loved meeting Bramble the dog who greeted us on arrival and quickly brought his ball to play. We ate twice in the Garden Centre Restaurant, Sunday lunch was excellent. Lovely area, some nice places to visit. We hope to return.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we were delayed arriving but after contacting the site they sent us details for arrival with gate codes etc and also put credit on our electric card ready for our stay. Fortunately we arrived just prior to reception closing !The site is lovely well laid out and the facilities are top notch will certainly be returning . The meter card is brilliant you only pay for what you use.

We stopped here for one night to break up a long journey, it was fantastic, we booked the super pitch fully serviced, it was huge, space for caravan and our 4x4 plus a generous grass area with bench, the largest we’ve stayed on, super private ,large hedges either side, toilet and showers were super modern and clean. Shop on site, restaurant and little garden centre. A very pretty site with trees, wild flowers pond and home to lots of wildlife. We will definitely return and stay longer as would like to explore the area more. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Just got back from a three night stay at this wonderful site. Thesite was very clean and well maintained. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for me, made me feel so welcome. The garden centre was a bonus. Excellent food in the restaurant. I had Friday night dinner, Saturday breakfast and Sunday lunch, couldn’t fault any of it. Also the staff in the restaurant were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely return. Thank you.

Beautiful site, perfect for weekend break
We enjoyed a lovely weekend away for our first at The Grange with our 3 dogs.It’s a beautiful site, nice and peaceful and with only 20-22 pitches it’s not too busy.All pitches are hard standing and fully serviced. You do have to pay for electric, but we loaded £10 onto the card and any unused is refunded and we used less than £4 for the weekend. The facilities are spotless and look pretty new. The adjacent Garden Centre has a really nice restaurant which stays open till 8pm on Friday nights, where we enjoyed a delicious anniversary meal. We will definitely be making another visit to the site in the not too distant future.

Found this site recommended on FB. it didn’t disappoint. Site wonderfully kept with well stocked shop. Showers and toilets were immaculate. Smallish site with lovely size pitches and situated behind a garden centre and restaurant. Bus stops just outside site although only a 40m walk to Melton if you feel energetic. Will definitely be returning.

Spot on!
Katie, John and Bramble have every thing spot on. They are friendly and they keep their camp site immaculate. We used their directions to walk via fields to Melton, where we enjoyed lunch at ‘Bellini’s’ a family run Italian restaurant before walking back along the main road. We also enjoyed a cooked breakfast at the Alpine restaurant before heading home. Looking forward to a return visit.

Hidden Gem
A welcoming, calm, eco haven in rural Leicestershire The Grange has everything I could want in a campsite and more.From arriving in the secure car park, passing the popular Alpine restaurant and The Grange garden centre, I realised I’d found a spot. I passed Brockleby’s pie shop before arriving at the Barn reception. With allocated parking spaces and Calor Gas for sale, it could feel purely functional. But the Grange have surrounded reception with reclaimed water troughs full of colourful bedding plants and some seriously impressive hostas!! They even have a trough dedicated to edible herbs for campers to help themselves from.With a picnic area and a view of the wildlife pond beyond, the reception also has a small camp shop with all the necessities locally sourced from independent suppliers.I enjoyed some local cider and milk for my morning latte’s.There’s always a friendly face to greet you and the owners Katy & John could not have been more accommodating. I strung up my hammock and a laundry line without them batting an eye. Even the site warden (Bramble the border terrier) comes to visit with a tennis ball and a glint in her eye.As a solo female traveller I felt safe and cared for. I spent over 5 weeks there all together this summer between camping trips across Europe.This site easily competes with much larger, busier camps in France and Italy but has a small English village vibe that is priceless. The facilities are modern, attractive and impeccably clean. With music from 8am-9pm it’s a veritable social hub in the ladies!!Can’t wait to return and enjoy some more field time, soaking up the sunsets and watching the wildlife, arial displays from red kites are not uncommon nor are the dragonflies. Heaven!!!

We have just had our second visit to the Grange Camping and Caravan site and can honestly say that we love it.The team are so friendly and the facilities are spotless. Just excellent.

Really nice site , lovely clean modern toilet block/ showers . The people who run it are really pleasant! The only moans are hate paying for electric ( even though you get back unused monies unlike some who don’t refund) would prefer added too fee, also be amazing to have bar/restaurant open more than just Friday and shuts early !! Lovely Extended August Bank Holiday
We came for the bank holiday weekend with family and then we stayed until the following Thursday. Family in tents and we were in our Caravan. Site is well maintained, clean and tidy. Cleanest toilets I've seen on a site.Insite staff very friendly and helpful and the four legged the site warden was very welcoming. We will certainly be returning in the future. Thank you for having us.

Just come back from a lovely weekend on the Grange Camping & Caravan Park.The owners of the site are very friendly and helpful,Brambles keeps them in their place as official site warden.The Facilities are kept spotless, site is well maintained.looking forward to going back soon.The only negative is the drive leading to the garden centre from the main road it could do with some attention as full of potholes.

Fabulous site
This is our favourite site. We're just back from our 3rd visit. Spacious pitches and a well laid out park. Spotlessly clean toilet block. Friendly atmosphere. Dog friendly restaurant on site serving wonderful food. We're motorhomers so use the bus to access Melton Mowbray. The bus stop is a short walk from the site. Looking forward to our 4 nights we've booked over christmas. Highly recommend The Grange.

Excellent place to stay.
First time staying here and it won't be the last. Had a good pitch. Amenities were very nice and very clean. Shop in reception sold things you might need. Adjacent garden centre had a nice (and busy) cafe/restaurant. Flowers and shrubs etc were a good price and we bought lots. All staff were very friendly, helpful and lovely. Only slight (and it was slight) downside of our stay was some noise from adjacent building site. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Upon arrival check-in was easy,smooth and friendly. Welcomed by John and Bramble(the site dog Warden.) A well stocked shop for all your essentials is a great facility.The newly built shower/toilet/washing areas were ample, modern and very clean. We were allocated a pitch but now realising we can request a pitch upon booking we will definitely do this in the future. The only downside and it's not major were the games being played on the green area in the centre of the site. A game of rounders with competitive adults were whacking the ball closely missing hitting our car on a number of occasions. This game also resulted in children imposing on our pitch chasing after their ball. All in all a lovely,cared for campsite with lots of conveniences on site including a garden centre and fabulous restaurant.A public bus stop a 5 minute walk away also gives easy access into Melton for those who don't wish to drive. I will definitely be returning.

We had an enjoyable stay at the grange , The restaurant was brilliant and the staff at the Grange were very welcoming and helpful. Excellent on site shop even had her decaf yorkshireteabags.The pond and conservation areas are very good and nice to see nature at its best. will be back again thank you all.

Our mains hose wouldn’t reach the tap so we borrowed one from them. So accommodating & helpful.Garden centre in site is fab & the restaurant is lovely. We had breakfast there every morning & had a meal there on the Friday night, which was lovely & very reasonable.Can’t wait to go there again

Our second stay at the Grange and we loved it again!The team are helpful, friendly and still working very hard to keep the facilities clean.Also some useful changes since the first visit - the coffee shop is now a shop for essentials (the restaurant is still available in the garden centre) and there are info blackboards available giving details of local food venues and days out. Great idea and nicely presented.

Best site we've ever stayed on. Loved all the extra touches, like the hammock, music in the shower rooms and the information board for places to eat and visit. Very peaceful site with great vibes. We've been here about 5 times so far and we love it, it's got a garden centre restaurant and a shop, Melton mowbray is only 1.9 miles away, the place is spotless and the whole family are brilliant to deal with, no matter what you want it's no trouble to them, it's one campsite we will keep going back to.

What a lovely campsite!Smallish site,very well maintained. Loved all the small personal touches,like the fairy lights through walk way,flowers in showers. Nice smelling reeds in shower blocks. Blackboards will local information. Herb garden for visitors use. Lovely on site shop and because you have to go through garden centre (car park)to get to reception,you have that to look around. Plus lovely restaurant. Very cosy,clean and reasonable. Buses just outside for trip into Melton Mowbray.If there's a negative,could do with signage at main entrance to highlight camping as to the layman it just looks like you're entering a carpark for the garden centre.Lovely friendly people at reception, highly recommend this site, if you want this location. What a gem of a site!Caravans/motorhomes all encircle a lovely grass area.The showers are probably THE BEST I’ve EVER seen - love that there’s music playing in them.We had a slight problem while there and the lovely owners resolved it very quickly.

A Refreshing Experience
First of all, the customer is made to feel welcome. Then the pitches are a good size and offer electric, and water. The electric is onpay card system which means that the customer only pays for what they use. I was in a camper van with awning and only paid £1.30p for electric over three nights. The site is also close to bus stops which meant not having to move my vehicle. The shower block was exceptional with large shower cubicles and toilet facilities. Washing up facilities were outside but very clean and under cover.There is also plenty to do close by , like. a garden centre and quite large restaurant. All in all our stay was a very pleasant experience

What more could anyone want?
I visited the Grange garden centre and restaurant many years ago, so when I noticed the new camp site it was a must to return. So much work has been done and so welcoming. Pitches well laid out and fully serviced, new shower block, water nice and warm. Very clean and roomy. Met the dogs and made a fuss. Love to comeback sometime.

What can we say - Simple First Class Site - Immaculate facilities,shower / toilet block probably the best we have seen. Well stocked shop in reception for those emergency supplies ( including wine 🍷). Extremely friendly owners.Adjoined to Garden Centre and Bar Restaurant not forgetting the Broklebys Pies made right next door. Strongly Recommend This Site.

1st Weekend Trip in Motorhome.
1st weekend away in our new motorhome. Absolutely incredible. Had a caravan previously for 5 years and this site is up near the top. John, Katie and Bramble are brilliant hosts and are most helpful with any questions you have. The facilities are the best. Brilliant way of paying for electric you use on prepaid cards with money not used refunded. The value for money compared to a lot of sites now is exceptional. Congratulations on building this site and running it as you do and making our stay memorable. Other sites should visit to see how it can and should be done.

Lovely site
Brilliant site with great facilities including a garden centre, pie shop and cafe/ restaurant. Very pleasant surroundings . If I was being a picky if you are on a standard pitch at the side it is tight to get your caravan in (ours is a 520) and out. You definitely need a motor mover to manoeuvre the van. Also if you want to put an awning up you need steel pegs (and even there are difficult to get in) as the ground is extremely hard!

Lovely clean site
The site is well maintained and the wardens very helpful and friendly.The bus is just outside so great to visit Melton Mowbray.Unfortunately in the field behind there is a new housing estate going up and the builders were very noisy with equipment/shouting starting at 7am each day and carrying on throughout the day. Unfortunately it was not the quietest of stays which we had hoped for.We would return once the construction work has been completed.

Fabulous Stay
We stayed with our tent for 2 nights having not camped for about 30 years.Campsite and facilities were so clean and tidy and we were made to feel so very welcome by Katie, John and Julie and of course Bramble the dog.We will be recommending the site to friends and family.

Well presented campsite with excellent facilities
The Grange as it is now has bern open a year. The hard standings and camping areas are well presented and well kept, and the shop , toilets and showers are immaculate. The garden centre and mountain restaurant are next door and very convenient.All in all, could not be more impressed. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed.

There is a bus stop not far from the entrance, which goes to Leicester or Melton Mowbray( big outdoor market in the streets on a Tuesday ). The Grange garden centre, has a lovely restaurant - we enjoyed the Sunday roast on arrival ( we were advised to book), but also sells other meals.

Immaculate and very welcoming site
What a fabulous campsite. It is the cleanest site we have ever stayed in and is incredibly welcoming. Cannot recommend it enough. Beautiful shop and cafe.

Our first time at the Grange and certainly not our last, all staff were always kind and helpful the grounds were kept immaculate, and the shower and toilet block were brilliant and spotless.

What a little piece of heaven a short distance from home. Fab site very well thought out . The facilities are excellent and the owners very welcoming.We had a lovely walk into Melton to buy pork pie for tea.Garden centre attached to site and a restaurant where we had a lovely Meal. Great place.!
Went for the first time for a weekend with family and we had a lovely time and so glad we came across this site! The staff are so helpful and friendly and the place itself is so beautiful, we all really enjoyed our stay. The site and its facilities are very clean which is always a great start, there is a shop at reception , a park on the restaurant grounds and a garden centre, also a pie shop all on site. We cannot wait to return thankyou so much for a wonderful stay. Would give it 6 stars if I could ;-)

Really well laid out with good sized pitches and a lovely green in the centre.Lovely gardens and wildlife ponds.The facilities block was one of the best we've found in the UK.All at a very reasonable price.Only improvement we could suggest is to create a grey water dropping point for Motorhomes.All in all a great site.... You could run courses to show others how to run a site.

Absolutely Great
We received a very warm welcome on arrival, found the site to be immaculate, friendly service throughout, well positioned for Melton Mowbray, lovely walk across fields and river to town. Dogs loved the large field that was available to run on. Food in cafe was also excellent and enjoyed our mozzy around the garden centre.Definitely be back.

Lovely site and owner's
Stayed for a long week end, our first time visit to a metered site after my wife found the website and we liked what we saw, so thought we would try it. As similar travel distance for us to Eye Kettleby Lakes which is our usual regular place to stay. Very enjoyable stay, even though not adults only which is our preferred places due to our ages, but during our visit, the families with children also there were very well behaved and polite. There was building works being carried out in the neighbouring area causing noise from 7am onwards, and car & caravan to be covered in dust, but this was not due to the site itself and hopefully will be completed soon. Will definitely visit again in the future as enjoyed the peace & relaxation when the building work ceased for the day. Lovely well maintained site and good food in the restaurant.

Stayed for 3 nights in plot 17 in the corner. Very nice site, has the garden centre adjacent with a nice restaurant. Will definitely be returning.

Peaceful and beautifully cared fir
The Grange is a very peaceful caravan site. Beautifully cared for so that nature is all around you. The facilities are exceptionally clean and well maintained. Easy access to nearby Melton Mowbray, buses run every half hour. This was a return visit and we will be back again very soon.

Super site and location
Really one of the best kept sites we've stayed at. The loos at are exceptional and the grounds and flowers beautiful. Pay as you use electicity worked well for us with a small van.Good garden centre on site and a restaurant too, which we will try next time. Very dog friendly with walks from the entrance to the site. Buses just over the road.

Perfect
This is now our favourite campsite.Very quiet, extremely clean, very spacious, friendly and has a wonderful little shop with everything you could need.Staff are also very friendly and helpful.

We’ve stopped here a few times now and love it….so quiet and tranquil…..owners and staff extremely helpful.Great garden centre and restaurant.30 minute walk to The Crown Pub which is highly recommended too.

Beautiful relaxing time
We had visited the site before in December and enjoyed it so decided to give it a try in the summer months. We weren't disappointed,it is such a beautiful site tucked behind the garden centre.Friday night the ski lodge restaurant stays open late and there was a guitarist playing to entertain the diners. The pitches are all a good size and have own taps. Electric is by card so you pay for what you use, we spent £7 for 2 nights which included running our air-conditioning so felt it was well priced. The facilities are excellent and there is a small shop on site.There is a Dog walk off site and you can walk into Melton Mowbray easily enough.

What a gem of a campsite. Fully serviced pitches with drainage. Pitches relatively flat, large and have gravel and grass areas. Reception is excellent, grounds are immaculate.Shower block is amazing and extremely clean.Close to Melton Mowbray and great value for money.

Picked the Grange as it was convenient for something we had planned locally little did I know what a great pick it was, John, Katie and staff were brilliant and the site is beautifully kept, facilities light and airy and immaculate, breakfast or coffee and cake at garden centre restaurant icing on the cake. The site is absolutely beautiful,well thought out with large pitches.It is very tranquil there, with the benefit of a bus route a 10 minute walk away. The facilities are spotless and of good size. Check in was easy and there is much information about bus routes, site facilities and rules readily available and clear instructions where needed.I cannot fault it. The garden centre and restaurant is lovely and the food looked lovely although sadly we did not have an opportunity to eat there.We will definitely be back.

Very clean and well maintained, landscaped site. Even the Elsan facility was well thought out. Best one we’ve seen in 7 years. Restaurant close by served a good Sunday lunch. The only slight negative was the noise of the refrigerated lorry at the pie shop but this is nothing to do with the campsite, which was excellent 🌟

Loved our 5 night stay very friendly staff, facilities spotless. Fantastic Sunday roast at the Alpine restaurant. Only downside we were on a pitch at the top of the site and a bit far fromtoilets.

So relaxing
The site was well maintained.The plots very spacious.All facilities were close by and spotless. A lot of thought has gone into planning this site. It has the added bonus of the amazing restaurant in the Garden centre which you must visit if only for a coffee. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Lovely site
We enjoyed our recent stay at The Grange. The site is well cared for with everything clean and tidy. Only negative was nearby building work noise which started at 7.30am, although it did seem to quieter down a bit by mid morning, hopefully it will soon be finished. One point we would like to make is that we hope that the newer hedging is not going to b left to get much higher as it will spoil the lovely open feel of the site.

Perfect short break
Travelling in a big motorhome, which we like to leave on site, we always hope of being able to get out and about. Yes ! We sure did.Firstly its a lovely peaceful site, tucked behind a pretty garden centre.The pitches are a very good size (ours even had a picnic bench). We dont use facilities but we did have a look, and the ladies shower block was top notch. (I didnt look in the mens !) The stainless steel Elsan point was the cleanest we have seen.There are bus stops on the main road a short walk from the site entrance. £2 single fayre into Leicester (an hour away by bus route). On the opposite side you can bus to Melton Mowbray.. its probably 10 mins. We however walked. Following a mainly off road track (details provided by the site). It took us about 40 mins but our elderly doggy walks at a slow pace. So much to see and do in both places.Allin all this was so worth a visit. The site owners are very friendly, and as for the site warden Bramble … be sure to go say hello!

A hidden gem
We have just stayed here for 2 nights, and wished we had booked longer. So much so we have booked to return.The pitches are spacious and are fully serviced.The grounds are very well kept, with a pond and various conservation areas.There is a small shop on site which also sells locally produced produce, and also a nice selection tion of beer and wines.It is next door to a local bakery where you dan buy fresh pies.The adjacent garden centre with the restraunt are very nice and well priced.The shower block is immaculate.Finally the owners are very helpful and friendly.I'm sure I've missed something out but if you want a bit of rest and relaxation you will find this site perfect.Lovely walks as well. Dog friendly.10 / 10

Amazing
We've been touring for 2 years and this is by gar the best site we've stayed on. Everything on site you could need. The food in the restaurant was amazing and all the staff couldn't be more helpful. Everywhere was well kept and clean we loved it. We'll be back soon.

Tranquil site
This is a lovely site set in lovely grounds that are well maintained.The site shop and reception is welcoming in appearance and the staff are very friendly and helpful.The shower facilities are immaculate and bright and airy, lovely hot water.Absolutely loved the garden centre and restaurant.We had a tasty breakfast and the warm scones are to die for. There are no facilities to wash clothes or a hair dryer in the ladies (not that I could see) but this wasnt a big issue for us.Would definitely recommend staying here.

Another fantastic weekend!
Our second visit to the Grange did not disappoint. We had a full serviced pitch and the pitches were massive. The owners work hard at making it a beautiful peaceful site with plenty of areas to attract the wildlife. It was really well kept with outstanding facilities and an added bonus of a great garden centre with a bar/restaurant which is open later on a Friday. Good dog walk off the site and the whole place is dog friendly . We really enjoyed our weekend and it’s fast becoming a favourite.

A nice quiet site with excellent facilities laid out thoughtfully with 20 hardstanding serviced pitches, 3 of which are extra wide.Friendly helpful staff based at the reception with a selection of essentials in a small shop.There is easy access to the Grange Garden Centre which encompasses The Mountain Restaurant which serves breakfasts lunches and afternoon teas.

I spent 3 fabulous nights in my tent on the camping field in perfect summer weather.From my first enquiry (by email) I was impressed with the promptness and high quality of the response, which suggested to me that here was a first-class establishment staffed by very competent people.On arrival, I was not disappointed.On the contrary, the toilets and showers were spotless, and better by far than any other campsite on which I had previously ever stayed!The staff were very friendly, yet never over-bearing.I very much would like to stay there again...and again...and again...:-)

Lovely grounds, generous pitch (very handy when one has dogs and there are cats on the next pitch!), fantastic showerblock and friendly, helpful staff. It will be perfect when the building stops over the hedge as they started quite early but all was nice and peaceful in the evening. Thank you for arranging our group to be near each other.

This is the best site l have stayed on. Beautiful generous pitches, all with their own water and with the privacy of hedges marking the boundaries. Spotless facilities. Ticks all the boxes. Fantastic welcome and beautiful pitches on a superbly manicured site. Spotless facilities and generous pitches with plenty of space and lovely open views. Easy to use system for electric usage. The breakfasts were top notch as was the service and the local beers excellent. A wander round the garden centre and a visit to the pie shop are a must. Great access to dog walks and loads of local amenities close by. Will be making this a regular weekend get away close to home.

Easiest review because everything was perfect from communication before arrival, staff welcoming, information given via up to date notice boards. Pitches just perfect. Lots of room. The bathrooms are next level. I found myself enjoying a shower whilst listening to music. We have spent several years touring the country in our campervan and this is right up there in our top 3 of places (might even be number 1) of places to stay. We will definitely be back! Thank you, great job.

We spent 2 nights at the site in our caravan. The pitches are generous and beautifully kept. The facilities are immaculate. There is a lovely little on site shop with essentials and local goods. The adjoining garden centre and restaurant are excellent and dog friendly. Easy access to melton and we enjoyed the Tuesday market.

Short 2 night stay
Fabulous site, with immaculate facilities and charming hosts. We were testing out a new awning hence only a 2 night stay, but would definitely recommend the site for an extended visit.

Brilliant!
First impressions were of a beautiful, wonderfully fitted out camper van site and things just got better and better from that. All the facilities were spotless and there was everything I needed and more: even down to a hook for my dog’s lead as was doing my washing up.! It was my first time in my micro camper van and I couldn’t have had a better welcome from the lovely staff and the respectful fellow campers.

Immaculate
This site is immaculate. There wasn't a blade of grass out of place. The showers and toilet facilities were spotless too. Loved the little shop that had a great selection of goodies and essentials. The plots had loads of space and felt quite private. Sadly each morning from 7.30/8.00 onwards we were woken by the sound of diggers and building works going on over the hedge but this can't be helped. There were plenty of walks with the dogs and the garden center and cafe were a bonus too. We would definitely go back. Thanks for having us

Lovely site with very clean facilities. Well set out with generous pitch size you will need levelling ramps for motorhomes. Regular bus ride to Melton Mowbray every 30 minutes.

Excellent!
The Grange is a wonderful site, offering both grass pitches and hardstanding. The hardstanding pitches surround a large lawn, available for children to play, and giving all pitches a nice view. The facilities are excellent and kept nice and clean. Our host was welcoming and helpful, giving us directions for a walk from the site over fields, and by a river and stream, to Melton Mowbray Town centre. We can recommend the Ann of Cleves pub for a light lunch. Melton Mowbray Country Park is also worth a visit, with plenty of winding paths over a large area, and a visitor centre offering refreshments. We'll be back.

We've just got back from The Grange a beautiful well looked after site.toilets/shower block immaculate.Shop on site and the scones in their garden centre restaurant are scrumptious biggest scones I've ever seen we will be back for another visit

Beautiful Tranquility
Absolutely perfect place for a weekend away! 🤩Fantastic immaculate facilities. Beautiful grounds - charming landscaped areas balanced with lots of deliberately naturalised patches of land within the very well maintained grounds.Lovely, friendly, helpful staff - very welcoming.Cafe-restaurant served amazing cakes!! 😋Site shop was very well stocked (even dog stuff available) and reasonably priced too so no need to worry about stocking up our van before departure. They really do sell just about everything.There is also a wonderfully stocked garden centre and accompanying gift shop which caters for all tastes and budgets.Very clean and well looked after showers and toilets.I really appreciated the music piped into the toilet/shower areas which enhanced privacy.Metered electric hookup which I thought was a very simple and fair system to use.Individual water supply available on each pitch.Dog-friendly site including shop, cafe-restaurant and garden centre.Very refreshing to come across campsite owners who are clearly very hands-on who and passionate about their site.So much thought and consideration given to the guest experience.It was also very peaceful at night.Just perfect!We will definitely be back and can recommend 100%

Fabulous Gem of a site
Well I have to say that this little gem of a site hidden behind a garden centre is probably the best site we have ever stayed on. The location my be a little outside the town of Melton Mowbray but the facilities were second to none. The shower and toilet block were pristine and obviously new. The only minor niggle is the fact that you need to purchase a card to cover EHU but that is only minor. The owners were very friendly and overall the pitches are huge and superby well maintained. I would definitely recommend this to anyone lokking to stay in this area.

There must be a little confusion with the Metered Electric, you do not purchase the smart card you just purchse the electric you use and are refunded what you do not use, the card is just a means to add the credit to the meter. This was our first visit ,& certainly not the last .We were met @ reception by John & Katie the owner’s,what an amazing friendly welcoming couple who have put in all the effort commitment to make this site what it is ,Well done.Every where being so clean , spotless, and so quiet .will definitely recommend to others, we’ve stayed @lots of sites over the years & this as to top be top rated & definitely competitively priced ,with metered Electric,which works out fine .Can’t wait to return.

Fabulous site
Our first time here with our 2 older children. Lovely site with exceptional shower and toilet facilities! Well maintained grounds and the hosts Katie, John, Julie and lovely bramble 🐶 were very helpful and made us feel very welcome.We enjoyed both meals we had in the restaurant on site which was lovely and cosy. Dog friendly in all areas so we could keep our pooch with us all the time.Would highly recommended this site. We will definitely be returning!

Lovely Peaceful Break
We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Beautiful campsite and very well maintained. My dogs loved it. We had a meal on Friday night in the Mountain Restaurant - live music was excellent.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Five stars

Peaceful break away
This was our first visit to the Grange. We stayed for 4 nights to rest and relax in quiet and beautiful surroundings - the location was perfect! The grounds are immaculately kept, the facilities are modern and clean, and the staff are all friendly and helpful (including Bramble, the dog and site warden!). The site was busy, but the pitches are all sufficiently distant from each other that it did not seem crowded at all. The Mountain View restaurant was excellent and only a short walk away. We will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The site is just fantastic well spaced out pitches and the toilet and shower block was spotless and radio 2in the background while I showed bonusThere was some noise from the next door building works but that will not be forever and the garden centre on site with the restaurant was great all in all great site and staff

What a great find ,needed somewhere to stop overnight, the Grange have got everything right , lovely pitches ,clean and modern toilet,shower block . Good communication with owner, would recommend for short or long stay 5*

Amazing place
We have been here a few time's, very welcoming brilliant people and very helpful, the thing's I like about this place, excellent camping park, a great garden centre with a first class restaurant and a shop with lot's of bits and pieces, like I said I've been 3 times and I'll be back again without a doubt.

Grange caravan & Camping site

Second time we have come in our touring caravan and we have throughly enjoyed our 3 nights..Great pitch, great toilet blocks always lovely and clean... and loving the new shop... some lovely walks off site and the owners and the lady that works here are super friendly.. Have to say this site is becoming one of our favourites 😍... Will be booking for winter and can't wait to come again thank you....

Great camping site
Fabulous small camping site for tents with site for caravans next to it. Not noisy. Very clean and tidy and well maintained. Great campsite shop with local produce. Showers excellent. Nice restaurant/bar on site with great choice of food and the cakes were to die for. Staff all enthusiastic and friendly. Well stocked garden centre also on site.Would give it 5 stars. Definitely will be returning. We found a few good walks nearby too.I am not sure the bar is open every night? When were we there on Friday it was, as they had live music.

Quiet and peaceful before the Bank Holiday.
Our pitch was really good as it was large and secluded. We found the toilet block clean and modern and never any need to queue.The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The shop is well stocked for essentials.We liked being next door to the garden centre. The supermarkets are all only a few miles away.We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back.

A hidden gem!
This is a hidden gem - at least to us!Beautifully kept, spotlessly clean with friendly helpful staff.On site restaurant is good value, excellent food and cheerful staff. Highly recommended.We shall return!The only issue is the dreadful potlholed approach road, but that is now worthy of a star reduction.

Beautiful campsite
This is a wonderful place to stay. Great location next to the garden centre and the pie shop. We had a meal in the restaurant in the garden centre which was lovely.Grounds are beautifully kept and plots are spacious with a lovely grassed area in the middle.Facilities are immaculate. My husband agreed that they are the cleanest we have ever encountered in all of our travels. There is nothing at all we can fault!!

What a lovely site. Just got back from a week’s stay in this beautifully kept little haven. All facilities meticulously clean and work as expected. Cannot fault The Grange. The addition of the garden centre with itsrestaurant is a bonus, good job we were only there for a week as the cakes and latte were fabulous and a visit to the pie shop is a must. We will definitely be back.

Feels like home
This is our 5rh or 6rh visit now and all at the Grange never fail.The site remains immaculate, spotless clean with friendly staff. John, Katie. Bramble and the team are amazing.The food in the Mountain Restaurant is still fresh, excellent and reasonably priced. We wanted a relaxing weekend and that’s what we got. This was our second visit to the campsite and once again we were very impressed. Very welcoming, helpful staff, excellent, clean facilities, lovely spacious pitch. All in all we couldn't want for anything. And the possibility of eating out at the adjacent restaurant made the stay even better.Thank you - we will be back!

What a find!
Couldn’t fault it.Our greeting at Reception by Julie was first rate.All the site geography and details were related to us and covered all aspects.The site in its entirety is extremely clean and well kept and is a credit to all concerned.Bramble, who I believe holds the title of Site Security Officer was amazing and gave our little dog Alfie a warm greeting and no doubt told him what it was all about.We have never seen our little dog so settled.The restaurant was extremely good and competitively priced with an extensive range of locally sourced produce cooked to perfection, well presented, piping hot and served professionally.Definitely returning.On a side note. The garden centre was well laid out, albeit small, but the nursery plants and shrubs were all in good health and thriving and the garden store and gift shop was well stocked and competitively priced.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this caravan park.In over 50years of camping,caravanning and now motorhoming, we have rarely found a site as good as this. Well designed and immaculately maintained in all area,s.WE WILL BE BACK.

Tranquil spot.
Where do I start.The site is beautiful.The shower/toilets are spotless and beautifully decorated.The pitches are a good size.There is a lovely garden centre with a cafe.Very friendly and helpful owners.We were only going to stay a night but were lucky to get an extra night in as we loved it so much.Lovely wooded walks nearby.There is a bus service near by to take you to the town.A must stay if you’re heading to Melton Mowbray.

Had 4 days at the site and found it to be one of the best we’ve stayed at. Site well laid out with room between slots , small enough to have the personal touch, the toilet block is outstanding both it terms of layout and cleanliness.Great having the garden centre at your door with the restaurant attached , why cook breakfast when you can walk 20m and get a full English, gives you a great start to the day.Plenty to see in the area , and the site is well connected and surrounded by some good viewsAll in all we will definitely be returning

Spent a relaxing 3 nights here. Very quiet, super clean facilities and great staff. Ate in the restaurant of the garden centre next door twice, great food and numerous cakes enjoyed as well as the fabulous plants. Would strongly recommend.

One of the best sites we have stayed on. First class facility’s and excellent friendly helpful hosts. Garden shop is magnificent and the restaurant is exceptional. Fully serviced pitches lovely location. Plus a hand made pork pie bakery and shop with evening cookery classes also on site what’s not to like.

Great welcome on arrival with plenty of information of site and area. Serviced pitches are a good size and well spaced out. Garden centre and pie shop as you drive into the site. Plenty of walks just off site, easily walk into Melton Mowbray in 40 mins. Weather was a bonus but it is definitely a site we would come back to.Site staff were brilliant.

Gorgeous
A wonderful site, facilities are absolutely spotlessly clean. Reception staff especially the lady who doubles up as a cleaner (who has a stunning new puppy) is fabulous. Only negative was a little background noise from nearby building works, people will be irritated by this but for us it did not detract from what is a most wonderful and relaxed comfortable site. We loved our 3 days and will definitely return.

Second time here for us.Love how clean and environmentally friendly this is. The owners have been very thoughtful about how the site is to be used. You see them taking a lot of interest in the general running of the place.Lovely garden centre on site too and great food.Highly recommend The Grange to all, we will return!

Beautiful, Friendly Site
The site is beautifully and ecologically landscaped throughout.The pitches are large and hardstanding and all surrounding a lovely grass area.The facilities are spotlessly clean and the staff who run the site are really helpful and extremely friendly.There is a small shop on site for last minute items and inside the lovely garden centre is a lovely restaurant which has lovely food and cakes.There is a bus stop at the end of the drive which gives easy access into Melton Mowbray.The only improvement we would make is the provision of a hairdryer in the shower block. We would definitely recommend this site.

Stayed May bank holiday weekend. Would have prefered electric to be included but I understand why its extra. Very clean, excellent shower block. Walkable distance into Melton Mowbray. I am sure we will stay again.

Fantastic stay ⭐️
We stayed here over May bank holiday on an electric tent pitch. I think this may be the first site we have ever stayed on that we have no negative comments! We brought our 5 year old granddaughter for the 1st time and she loved it and made friends with the onsite dog Bramble. The weather was a bonus! We had a fabulous Sunday lunch at the restaurant on site. Toilet and shower facilities were 5⭐️, the owners and staff couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming , would love to visit again⛺️

Just had 3 days here at The Grange and what a fantastic place it was.Set out absolutely beautiful,wonderful showers and toilets, the owners and staff have done a fantastic job and so polite.A lovely garden centre to look around and very good restaurant where we had a great breakfast.We will definitely return.

A gem of a site

Ne to caravaning
Having a caravan since January and being in storage , we decided to travel locally so six mile drive to the Grange, wow I couldn't of picked a better or more perfect place than this, being nervous on our first trip we arrived and was treated with friendless and then we set set up ,this gem of a place was perfect and we are going again very soon. Also very close to melton Town,

2nd time visit to the grange , as good as last time with some additional designatedwildlife sections and hedge planting that will afford more privacy , also a well stocked shop onsite , the facilities were again very good and extremely clean and well looked after .A designated dog run/ walk would be the only welcome addition on site ( as on many other quality sites ) but there is a decent walk 5 mins off site .Thanks again for a very pleasant stay again , we are coming back later in the year . From the start the site & staff were welcoming & friendly.It was modern facilities with heated toilet block & showers were always hot & unlike a lot of others it had a caddy on the wall for shampoo etc.The restaurant again, welcoming & friendly with good food, although cakes & desserts a bit on the expensive side.overall my 8 day stay was very pleasant indeed.

A lovely quiet site with a slightly quirky entrance through a garden centre car park. I do feel the campsite could be better signposted. We were really pleased to see the environmental thought that has gone into this site which has clearly been designed by campers who know what you need. We liked the metered electric too. Thefacilities are excellent with the best showers I’ve used in a very long time!

Lovely well kept site. Facilities spotless. Bus stop outside to Melton and Leicester every 30 minutes. Garden centre next door is fairly small but plants are healthy and a good price. The restaurant is only open on a Friday evening which I think they could open more frequently in an evening. The food was very good.

Amazing place
For our first ever trip out in the motorhome a lovely site amazing people staff the area is spotlessly. Clean toilets are to die for as good as a five star hotel even though we got a three star motorhome but will definitely visit again. Our only problem is we think we’ve been spoilt on our first trip so every other trip is going to be a letdown, but thanks very much for accepting us but would recommend to anyone wanting a choir and peaceful site

Perfect getaway
What a fantastic find! Tucked away in a peaceful site, beautifully planted and maintained, we even saw a muntjac strolling by. Katie greeted us warmly and showed us around. We were soon settled and headed off on our bikes to join national cycle route 64 which goes through Melton Mowbray (best suited to experienced riders). The following day we went into Melton Mowbray on the bus (and got the obligatory pork pie from Ye Olde Shoppe). As an added bonus the Grange restaurant was open on the Friday evening, serving superb food and live music. Thank you for an amazing break.

Amazing
I would just like to say that we have been to many touring caravan sites across the country and the grange has been by far one of the best we have ever stayed at, Katie and Julia were so helpful to our every needs I had a major problem with my caravan at the start of our stay with water pooring in under the seating area and I was given a card by the lovely lady on reception for a mobile caravan technician who came out more or less immediately and fixed my problem. The site is immaculate in every way, the shop on site is well stocked with all your needs I just can’t praise it enough we will definitely be going back.

A gem of a site!
A very well kept, well laid out attractive site with helpful, friendly owners. Clean facilities including a really good disabled shower room. A nice bonus is having a restaurant and garden centre adjoining, we also did a Pork Pie Making Experience at the adjacent Brockleby's bakery.

5 Star site
We love the Grange. The pitches are a good size and level.The Mountain restaurant is first class and on the evening that we were there, we were treated to a singer guitarist who was excellent 👌Then on Sunday morning we visited the on site garden centre. Shower block is also immaculate.In summary we can highly recommend the Grange.

First time on this site
We arrived on Monday 1st April for a 4 night stay booking in was straight forward good pitch fully serviced unfortunately our dog took ill and as the week when on she got worse took her to the vets and she never came home with us devastated we asked if we could stay an extra day but our pitch was booked for the weekend the staff moved heaven and earth to allow us to stay until Saturday if you need a caring site with brilliant staff look no further will never forget their kindness and will be returningNever underestimate the kindness of people from our hearts thank you

Just come back from a 2 night stay , this site is immaculate the toilets and shower block are so clean the shop on site is very well stocked and the staff are so friendly the restaurant on site does lovely food and the Sunday lunch was spot on , you do have to pay for metered electric and we did find it slightly tricky once we got to site as you have to drivethough the garden centre car park to get to the camp site the wardens did say they were getting more signs to direct you in but can’t fault it and will be back x

Lovely site with excellent facilities. What we really liked is that the owners haven’t tried to cramp as many pitches in as possible, like some sites do, and as a result it makes it a lovely private site to stay at.

Lovely site
Returned home yesterday from a very enjoyable Easter break. The site is ideal for our needs. The facilities are spotless and being next to the garden centre was a bonus. The only suggestion we would make is that the whole of the pitch be hard standing and do away with the grassed part. It was a bit of a tight squeeze to keep the awning and car off the very wet grassed area.

We have stayed here 3 nights over Easter and have toSay the campsite and all the facilities are 10/10.Staff very friendlyThe restaurant is a must my wife is vegetarian and had one of the best meals ever. Sunday roast yummy.Bought a few bits from garden centre to take home !

Lovely site
We stayed as a trial run in our campervan with our 14yr old daughter. Lovely quiet site, excellant toilet and shower block. New to using metered electricity but very easy to use. People very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be going back again. Would definitely recommend!!!

Excellent site with everything you need.
This is our first visit but will definitively be back. The shower block is immaculate and modern, the pitches are really well spaced with plenty of privacy. We had a serviced pitch which included a grey water drain, water and electric. The bonus is being next to the garden centre complete with an alpine bar/restaurant. Can’t wait to come back.

A Little Gem
Just had our first visit to this site and wow, what a site it is. John, Katie and Julie are so friendly and always have time to help and advise. Shower block was immaculately clean all day and the site is so peaceful. Would highly recommend and we have just booked to come back again.

Quiet site, excellentyly maintained and with friendlly and helpful staff
We stayed at The Grange for two nights this week. The check-in was seemless and the staff chatty and friendly. All the necessary information was given quickly and efficiently. The site is quiet and tucked away behind a garden centre, which hosted a mountain restaurant themed cafe. Our only disappointment was that this only served hot food until 3:30 pm, as we had originally intended to eat there the first evening. Can't have everything, I supposed! The facilities were spotless and the pitch immaculate. It had metered electicity, which was nice to find. All-in-all a site we can thoroughly recommend, especially to those seeking peace and quiet.

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful weekend at The Grange. It is a lovely quiet site, with very good facilities. The shower room is spotless.We will definitely be staying again.

Staff was all very friendly garden center and restaurant was lovely and so was the food.The site was very quiet and lovely maintained.Would definitely come back again.Just one thing for motorhomes , there’s nowhere to dump your waist water. But still give it 5 stars .

Great site
Stayed one night here as we had plans nearby early next morning. Booking was easy and staff very helpful with booking and responded quickly with emailed confirmation of booking.On arrival staff helpful and showed us facilities and our pitch was hard standing with plenty of room and hook up easy. Facilities were excellent and toilet / shower block one of the best I’ve seen bright and great showers. We enjoyed on site restaurant and food n drinks were good. Good night sleep as site quiet. As a disabled person it was Great to see a well thought out accessible toilet and shower, thank you for that not often I see that on sites so 10/10 for that 👍Price for night was very good and we will be back 👏👏👏👏

Beautiful site, A1++++++.Shop well stocked, restaurant good selection of food, staff excellent, very helpful, can get takeaway, dog's allowed everywhere even in the restaurant, everywhere was spotless. Been before and will definitely go again. Above and beyond to look after guests.

Nice well kept site
Great stop over for 3 nights meeting friends from Durham. Metered EHU. Used approx £7 over the stayrunning only the TV, fridge and the charging system of the van. Heating and water was on gas. And that was again about £7.Easy walk to the bus service to Melton and to Leicester which took about an hour.Our pitch was dead level, no ramps required, others needed ramps to achieve a level van...Shower and toilet room was heated and spotless staff were realy friendly and helpful which is priceless these days.Overall a great stay.Many thanks.Pete and Carole

Had a great 2 night stay at the Grange, very peaceful and quiet, Approx 30 minute walk to Melton Mowbray and frequent buses if you don't fancy the walk.Good facilities Easy booking in at reception and friendly staff.

Fab weekend in March 2024
We drove up to The Grange Camping and Caravan Park on Saturday 9th March for a weekend to include a great night out at the Mountain restaurant in support of John's event for the BHF.This has to be one of the best sites in the country, new, fresh, well laid out with a wonderful host.Very highly recommended.

Great site
Lovely site, Lovely owners, you can tell they have put a lot into the business.On site is their Lovely shop, pie shop, garden centre and restaurant and just a short walk to the main road for the bus stop (into Leicester one way, Melton Mowbray the other).Ehu, water and grey waste drain on each pitch.Very clean toilets and showers and washing up area.Showers have a seat and hooks so everything doesn't get wet.Ehu on meter, with using gas for heating and cooking, it was about £1 per day, using electric for it all, was £9 per day.You get a card you top up and swipe on the meter at the pitch, and a refund if you don't use it all.

Quiet Retreat
A lovely site with self-contained hard-standing plots that will only improve with maturity, The Farm shop and restaurant adjacent means you don't need to go far to enjoy a cooked meal. The onsite shop has well-stocked shelves for the items you forgot to pack. I would definitely come back when I am down this way again.

Fabulous site.
We love everything about this site. Very generous pitches. Well laid out. Spotless shower/toilet block. Lovely shop with a great range of local products. The adjoining restaurant is amazing, already booked our pitch for Christmas. We'll be back a few times in between. A gem of a site.

Our 2nd time to this fantastic site had a fabulous time great food in the restaurant both Friday evening and breakfast on Saturday. The toilets and showers are immaculate and the pitches are very well maintained . Had a great time Saturday evening at British Heart Foundation fund raising a fantastic night for such a good cause. What a fantastic site. Showers so clean & warm. Pitch was a good size & very neat. Lovely garden centre with restaurant...food was amazing & scones best we had ever eaten! Took bus into town with our dog which was very easy.

Wonderful site.
This was our first visit to this lovely gem of a site. With ecology at the forefront of everything the site is fresh and new. The amenities block is modern, bright and kept spotlessly clean. A small reception area houses a shop that stocks all the basic essentials including a range of wines and beers.Reasonably priced pitches, and the electricity is metered costing us around £11 for our two night stay. Conveniently located behind The Grange Garden Centre we enjoyed lunch in the popular Mountain Restaurant. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend the site to anyone who enjoys a smaller peaceful site. 😁

What a brilliant site and so clean. The restaurant was lovely and food tasted wonderful. Just a 40 minute walk into Melton. Would definitely recommend this site and will certainly be back soon.

This was our first visit to this gem of a caravan site.every thing was clean and tidy,staff were polite happy and helpful,John even leant my some hose pipe as mine wouldn't reach the water tap.The staff in the garden centre restaurant were equally nice pleasant and helpful.We will certainly be back later in the year.

A great 1st visit
What’s not to like?Greeted with a smile in reception with a well stocked shop, facilities were warm and clean. The site well laid out with plenty of room between pitches.We stopped for a long weekend, so had a meal in the restaurant after arrival on Friday night which was great. A number of lovely walks into Melton. We will be back 👍

We spend six days at the Grange and we really enjoyed our time there.John,Katie,Bramble and all the staff were brilliant.The garden centre was lovely and the restaurant was excellent and it was a bonus for us that the whole site was so dog friendly.Thank you so much for a great break and we will be back soon.

Spotlessly clean, good size pitches, lovely helpful staff and good location.We walked to Ashfordby on Friday night for a meal in the Crown and walked into melton saturday for shopping, drinks and food.A great weekend

Weekend getaway
We chose The Grange as it was local to Twin Lakes where we were taking the kids for the weekend.The campsite was impeccably clean, toilets and showers are new, well laid out and easily accessible. There’s a great restaurant and garden centre next door too.We’d definitely return to see more of the area.

Relaxing place to stay
We read reviews and thought we would give the Grange a try, we were not disappointed. Excellently laid out, well maintained and the pitches have everything you want. The facilities block are some of the best we’ve seen.There is a very well provisioned shop on the site with local products, this is in addition to the lovely on-site restaurant. Close to Melton Mowbray to walk, walks from site with dogs and the whole site is dog friendly.5 star highly recommended, whether for an over night stop when travelling or a weeks break!The owners are really friendly and approachable if you have any questions or need help.

Excellent Site
We used the site as a 3 night getaway weekend. Large fully serviced pitches which will provide even more privacy when the newly planted vegetation between the hardstangs grows. 1st class facilities, warm and clean. Simple system for loading your pitch card with electricity credit, and refund for unused. Easy walk into Melton Mowbray either by road or acrss the fields, as well as a regular bus service. On site restaurant at the Garden Centre was good value with direct access from the site. Friendly and helpful staff. On our list for a second visit.

Our stay at Grange Camping & Caravan Park was nothing short of delightful. Nestled just outside Melton Mowbray, its convenient location was enhanced by the excellent bus service connecting it to the town centre. Stunning Campsite
The Grange is a welcoming, clean, beautifully laid out site where nothing is too much trouble for the owners. Showers and toilets are immaculate. The views from the site are lovely across the fields and it’s all very peaceful there. Would highly recommend for a relaxing time !

Well maintained, comfortable site.
We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way to Lincolnshire. The site is well maintained, well run and thought out. Pitches large and fully serviced, Friday night restaurant pleasant and good value and cafe with garden centre can be used for breakfast and lunch too. Due to a burst pipe in our campervan we used the onsite facilities which were absolutely spotless.Staff were lovely and helpful, the electric is metered which again was no problem.

We booked here for 3 nights.Fantastic site.Elevated position gives brilliant views of the surrounding countryside.All pitches are private and plenty of grass as well as your own picnic bench.Toilet and shower block was cleanest I have seen.On site shop and cafe well stocked.Onsite restaurant located in the garden centre serves the best cooked breakfast ever.Got a 5 minute busjustboutside the entrance into Melton Mowbray.Dog friendly site and restaurant.Will definitely be back!

Peaceful Getaway
Lovely campsite, lovely people (and site pooch, Brambles) and everything you need for a nice break.Good info point with walks from site for us to let our dog off and pubs/food recomendations. Shame the garden centre bar isn't open in the evening on weekdays but wouldn't stop us returning and the site shop has plenty of food and drink on offer if needed 😊. Will definitely stay again!Lovely to see our pooch (Bertie) made it to the site gallery too 😊👍👍🐕

Bar far the most clean, friendly and welcoming campsite I have ever stayed in!! This will be my go-to place to stop off in future. Staff are so lovely and can’t do enough for you and the toilet/shower facilities are brilliant and kept very clean! Lovely As Always!
Another fantastic stay at the Grange! Beautiful site and pitches. Facilities modern and spotless. Had a minor issue with our water (all our fault) but John came to the rescue! Nothing ever seems to much trouble for John and Katie, always so welcoming and friendly.

Superb Site
We have had our motorhome for 7 years this year and only discovered The Grange last year! What a find, we have now made The Grange our 'go to' site for a relaxing weekend.Wonderful walks into Melton Mowbray across the fields or on the path. Lovely little town and the Montaro Lounge is dog friendly. The onsite restaurant is absolutely wonderful (especially the cakes), my only bug bear is they close at 5pm on a Saturday so we can't pop for a meal and a drink in the evening (Friday is the only day we can do that).The restrooms on site are immaculate and warm. The pitches are a good size and the site is beautifully maintained. Brambles gives you a warm welcome when you arrive along with John, Katie and Julie. I can't recommend enough.

Fabulous site facilities
Fantastic site with a great welcome. Washroom facilities were first class with large powerful showers and separate changing area in each cubicle. Well stocked site shop on site and sister garden centre has a fabulous ski resort themed restaurant/bar - great for breakfast too but does get busy with bookings. Single lane drive can be tricky at busy times. Melton Mowbray is a 30 minute walk but has lost some of its charm with numerous vacant units.

Wet but excellent!!
Came for 2 nights (early Feb) and had torrential rain 1st and last day but middle day was dry so had an excellent walk into (& back from) Melton Mowbray.The onsite restaurant was very busy and we had an excellent lunch.First came here when it was a CL and now hugely impressed with layout and quality of how the family has developedthis site.Will definitely be coming back !!

The Grange Camping & Caravan Park
This is my second visit to this site, my first visit was a single night stopover by myself. When we needed somewhere to take our campervan with both of us & our 3 dogs this was my first choice as the site itself is immaculate with incredibly friendly people in the reception or just walking around the site with their incredibly friendly dog. There are heated blocks which have showers & toilets with accessible toilets & showers. The reception area is great for most of the things you forgot to bring with you. The pitch itself was well proportioned with ample room to set up table & chairs & not right on top of next pitch. I had electric hook up this time & when you leave you get however much money you didn’t use refunded straight back, great system. There are areas where you can walk dogs, most of the time they must be on the lead which is totally acceptable. Before you enter the road leading to site there is a playing field so if no activities taking place you might be able to let your dog have a run there-football Sundays.The location has a garden centre with the Alpine Restaurant-beware the portions, they’re huge😂. Great covered area outside so plenty of room for our dogs. The restaurant hasn’t changed since the 70/80’s great skiing memorabilia. Yet again incredibly friendly people in both places & very welcoming.I have visited many venues and I know I keep saying that everyone was incredibly friendly & welcoming but they were & it’s so important to feed that back to everyone we met from Saturday afternoon check in until leaving on Monday morning. Thank you, it was a pleasure staying here & I can guarantee we will return.

Great site, lovely people
For a February break, this site and its owners made it warm, welcoming and enjoyable winter get-away.From the ease of booking and the informative and friendly welcome, to the chats in the shop/reception and on the site it was a pleasure.The garden centre is an added bonus as is the restaurant, with some lovely food and a Friday evening happy hour on cocktails that went down well.We will certainly return.The supersize pitch was exactly that and the ongoing planting will add a real private addition to all the pitches.Showers and toilet block were immaculate, as was the whole site, and the shelf by the Elsan point was a lovely touch as well.
